7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari Itinerary

On this 7 Days Tanzania wildlife Safari; You will sleep in good lodges mixed with Mid-range tented camps, you will be able to experience the Maasai Culture tour, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, the Serengeti National park and the world famous Ngorongoro Crater, in which all these highlights are situated in the North of Tanzania.

Traveling in a 4×4 safari vehicle with a pop-up roof is the classic safari style. The vehicle is fitted with seat belts for each passenger, a 40l fridge with water and a plug point for charging cell phones and cameras.

Our safari vehicles with hatched roof for shade against sunny African wilderness; are extended body with roomy seats for comfortable sitting and stretching out legs. Every guest is accessible to window seat. Cars are also have VHF radio calls for easy and fast communication with base office in Arusha town. Each one is custom designed with first aid kits, binoculars, a selection of field guides books supplied by Cross to Africa Safaris at no additional cost.

Day 1: Arusha– Maasai Village

After breakfast, we will drive from Mvuli hotel to Maasai village called Monduli.
When we arrive at Monduli village, you will first be greeted by the many children of the village who are curious to see tourists. Then, you will be greeted by the Maasai men and women who will dress you in traditional clothing and give you a tour of the village. After getting to know a little bit about each other, Maasai people will be ready to show you their traditional singing and dancing, and you be encouraged to join them. It is really an unforgettable experience at this moment! After singing and dancing, the men and women will join the Maasai to take part in their everyday choirs to see the Maasai lives. After saying goodbye to the villagers we will depart from the village to Burudika Tented Lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:Burudika Tented Lodge – Serengeti National Park:

Today we will continue to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Crater View Point. After passing the crater highlands, you will soon see the plains of the southern Serengeti. The southern Serengeti plains literally seem to go on forever, stretching until the horizon and only interrupted by the so-called “Kopjes” or “Inselbergs” (strange looking rock formations). Dinner and overnight stay will be at Serengeti Embalakai Tented Camp. Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner.

Day 3: Full Day Game drive in Serengeti National Park.

Today is set aside for a full day game viewing and the Serengeti is at your disposal. The best vantage points and worthwhile areas are chosen to give you the best possible chance to observe animals and to capture the perfect photo. Depending upon the time of year, you have the chance to witness the great migration with hundred thousands of wildebeests and zebras in January and February. You will spend another night at your last night’s accommodation. Breakfast; Lunch and Dinner will be provided at Serengeti Embalakai Tented Camp

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, you will travel back to the adventurous trail that takes you into the Ngorongoro crater. Grass steppes and acacia forests are home to almost all the species of animals found in the East African Savannah. In only a few hours driving from Serengeti NP, you will have the chance of spotting the big five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and leopard. After extensive game viewing and a picnic in the crater, you will leave the highlands of Ngorongoro in the afternoon and travel back to Karatu. You will spend a night at Tloma Lodge Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 – Karatu Tloma Lodge to Lake Manyara National Park for full day game drive..

After breakfast, you will visit the Lake Manyara National Park. In lake Manyara you can also observe elephants, hippopotamus, buffalo, banded mongooses and numerous types of gazelles and antelopes. Furthermore, the park is well known for its “tree climbing lions”. Visitors can regularly observe lions taking a nap in the tree canopies or escaping from the heat on the ground. In the evening travel back to Karatu town.You will spend the night at Lake Pamoja Africa Safari Lodge. Bed Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch will be provided here.

Day 6 – Mto wa mbu Local Activities

Journey continues to the village of Mto wa Mbu near Lake Manyara. Over the years the village has attracted people from various ethnic groups and the wide variety of backgrounds and ethnicity has created a multicultural atmosphere in Mto wa Mbu. You will walk through banana plantations, see traditional wood carvers at work, visit the local brewery and see local art in the making – giving you a real insight into the daily village life. Lunch is prepared by a community women’s group and served at a local compound. Leisure afternoon or swimming in the pool at Manyara Wildlife lodge. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Manyara wildlife Camp .

Day 7 – Tented Lodge to Tarangire National Park for morning game drive.

After a short briefing and your luggage is loaded onto the vehicle and you head in direction of the Tarangire National Park. Giant Baobab trees, the bush Savannah and the seasonal marshes add to the wonder of this nature reserve. The Tarangire National Park is considered as one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants up close. In addition to observing elephants, you will also have a chance to see the beautiful Maasai giraffe, various gazelles and antelopes, buffalo, lions, leopards, baboons and over a hundred different species of birds. After a day of wildlife watching, you will leave the park in the afternoon and drive to Arusha Town for your overnight stay or transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight back home.
